Pittsburgh Classical Yoga 200 HR Teacher Training

For those yoga students looking to take it up a notch–whether you want to get deeper into your personal practice or become a yoga teacher–Lynn Rescigno offers a 200 HR teacher training at Bend Yoga that will allow you explore.

Lynn’s 200 HR Classical Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training  is based on her knowledge of Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, and Iyengar yoga. She teaches her students: how to conduct a class with proper pacing; pronunciation of Sanskrit; synchronization of breath and movement; and an economical way of verbally correcting poses based on what is observed. Students will also explore the basic aspects of yoga philosophy, anatomy, safe hands on adjustments, pranayama, and mantra.

A testimonial or two…

” Lynn presents the information in a fun, interactive manner. Each weekend had a themed lesson utilizing yoga practice with classroom lessons for a combination of knowledge and practical uses. She provided anecdotes and stories throughout the classes to aid in the learning process, and her  knowledge and dedication to yoga surpasses her peers and makes her one of the best instructors in Pittsburgh.” ~ Lauren Shaffer , TT Class of 2013
“Lynn’s knowledge of anatomy, meditation, maximizing a Jivamukti and Ashtanga practice, and yoga philosophy is second-to-none in the Pittsburgh area. Every time, I leave Lynn’s classes I know more about my own body and personal yoga practice than I did when I walked in the door. Her attention to detail and care for students is evident during one of her classes as she knows everyone’s name as well as any particular injuries or physical issues. Beyond that, she sees the potential of every student , from beginner to expert, to better their practice. “

Class Descriptions & Rates

Yoga in Pittsburgh

made it to the mat

This early a.m. class is an hour long, just enough time to get you moving and grooving–or maybe just a bit more awake before you start your day. Open to all levels.

lunch break

A 50 minute class will get you back to work and back to your day by the end of the lunch hour. Think of it as your Do Not Disturb time where you can relax or rejuvenate–whatever kind of lunch break you need.

happy hours

  • VINYASA FLOW: A flowing and dynamic class where you will move, bend, and breathe through poses to increase flexibility and strength. And there will probably be some tunes.
  • YOGA WITH WEIGHTS: A challenging and fun class that will add a little resistance and intensity to your existing asana practice with the use of free weights and plyometrics.
  • ASHTANGA YOGA: Synchronize your breath with movement and create some serious internal heat.

breathe & bend

Come in for a little breathing and bending. This warm Vinyasa Flow sequence will energize, calm, and restore the mind and body after a long day. Note: we turn up the heat just a bit for this one!

 jivamukti

Jivamukti is a vigorous, Vinyasa-based style of yoga that’s hard to find in here in Pittsburgh. Come to Lynn’s class to see what it’s all about.

On Lynn’s expertise…

“I signed up for a 200 HR yoga certification because I wanted to deepen my understanding of yoga asanas and potentially  become a yoga teacher one day. Because I signed up for LynnRescigno’s yoga certification, I gained far more from the training than what I had originally expected. The depth  of Lynn‘s knowledge of anatomy, meditation, maximizing a Jivamukti and Ashtanga practice,  and yoga philosophy is second to none in the Pittsburgh area. Every time I complete one of Lynn‘s classes, I leave knowing more about my own body and personal yoga practice than I did when I walked in the door. Her attention to detail and care for students is evident during one of her classes as she knows everyone’s name as well as any particular injuries or physical issues. Beyond that, she sees the potential of every student , from beginner to expert, to better their practice.”
